Cookie policy

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Some are needed to make the site work at all. Others are optional, and under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations we have to ask your permission before setting those.

That is what the banner is for.

Your choice

When you first visit, you can accept or reject the optional cookies. Rejecting them does not break anything — the shop works perfectly well without them, and you will not be nagged about it on every page.

You can change your mind at any time using the cookie preferences link in the footer.

What we actually set

Strictly necessary — always on

These make the shop function. They cannot be turned off, and they do not need consent.

What it does Who sets it
Remembers what is in your basket Shopify
Keeps you signed in to your account Shopify
Carries you securely through checkout Shopify
Protects the site against fraud and bot traffic Shopify, Cloudflare
Remembers your cookie choice, so we stop asking Shopify

Analytics — only if you accept

These tell us how many people visit, which pages they look at, and where they arrived from. We use it to work out which parts of the shop are worth improving.

What it does Who sets it
Counts visits and page views, and measures how the shop is used Shopify

We do not run Google Analytics, advertising pixels or any third-party tracking. There is no Facebook pixel, no advertising network, and nothing that follows you to other websites. If that ever changes, this page changes first and the banner will ask you again.

Reviews — only if you accept

What it does Who sets it
Remembers whether you have already left a review, so you are not asked twice Judge.me

Managing cookies in your browser

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Every browser does it differently, and the help pages for Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge all explain how.

Be aware that blocking all cookies, including the strictly necessary ones, will stop the basket and checkout working. That is a limitation of how shopping baskets work rather than something we have chosen.

More information

How we handle the information these cookies produce is covered in our privacy notice.
